There are doll collectors that only collect vintage dolls because they have more history and they are worth more money.
The most popular vintage dolls are the Cissy Doll, Shirley Temple Doll, Mama Dolls, Ginny, Gene, American Girl Dolls, Raggedy Ann and Andy Dolls, Armand Marseille 390 Bisque Dolls, Artist Dolls, Madam Alexander Dolls and the most famous vintage doll is the Great American Barbie Doll. Other dolls such as the Kewpie Doll and Ideal Dolls run seconds to these dolls.
Vintage dolls are worth more, grandmothers and great grandmothers most likely had any one of these dolls and even mothers of adults have had one of two of this style of dolls. It is hard to image any doll of today becoming a vintage doll where it would be worth anything like the vintage dolls.
